1. Cam Loc Primary School School year: 2024-2025 Week: 17 Period: 33 REVIEW (1st Semester) I. Objectives: After completing this lesson, students will be able to: Review Unit 1 to Unit 5 to prepare for the 1st semester test II. Teaching aids: Teacher’s aids: student book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, IWB software, projector/interactive whiteboard/TV. Students’ aids: Student books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures: Teacher’s Activities Student’s Activities I. Warm-up Sing and dance the song: Baby shark - Sing and do the action together. Play "Read my lips" game - Divide the class into groups of five. - One student says a letter or a word silently. (E.g., rabbit) - Follow T’s instructions - Have the other students try to guess what their - Play game friend said. - Have students continue the game as the same way II. New lesson  Give each student a worksheet. I. Then match the questions and the answers.  Swap roles.  Have students work in pairs, take turns ask and answer the questions. IV. Look. Write.  Divide the class into four groups. - Follow T’s instructions  Invite one student from each group to come - Work in groups. to the board.  Explain that the four students are going to race to fill in the blanks.  The first student who finishes all the blanks correctly gets one point for his/her team.  Continue in the same way.  Have students complete their exercises in their worksheet. III. Wrap up Option 1 “Mystery words” game  Prepare some cards ( phonics / feelings/ - Play the game. numbers), then put them in a bag.  Divide the class into four teams.  The teacher chooses a card from the bag. "Hot seat" game  Divide the class into teams.  Have a student from each team sit on the chair facing the classroom with the board behind them.  Teacher writes a word on the board. E.g. cow  Have the other students describe the word.  Give the first team to guess correctly one point.  The team that gets the most points wins. II. New lesson I. Look and write the missing letters.  Have students look at the pictures and call out - Follow T’s instructions what they can see. - Look and say  Demonstrate the activity using the example. - Look and draw lines  Have students write the missing letters to the correct pictures..  Check answers as a whole class. Look and circle the right picture.  Divide the class into four groups. - Work in groups  Explain the activity. - Look and read.  Set up time limit by 5 minutes timer bomb.  Have students start reading and writing to complete their tasks. When the time ends by explosion students stop doing their exercises.  Check answers as a whole class and give stickers for the team that has the most correct sentences. III. Wrap up “Words” game  Divide the class into four teams.  Invite one student from each team to come to - Follow T’s instructions the board. - Play game  The teacher prepares some flashcards or pictures and sticks them on the board.  Give students one minute.  Each student tries to call out as many words as possible.  When the time is up, the student who says the most words gets one point for his/her team.  The team that gets the most points wins.
